Brand advocates /influencers to follow on social media! Are they worth following?

Well that is the question you should be asking yourself because I did and I’ll say the once I’ll be telling about are very much worthy. Choose yours! I did a research and my finding was that it could be about 218 millions of people who are using twitter and they excel at it while others don’t. twitter is most of us use it as a primary first method where you get to tell people what you are doing, covering etc. among those people they should be some who you think are mostly worthy to follow…you find out from today, my home work for you today

As the public relations student I know a lot about persuasion how it works in most cases, so that’s why I should have a good reason for following a certain person in any social media, and what I am looking for is an influence, yes influence!, some social media should be about influence, the work should be influential enough to make me follow you. influencers are those people who love good course, with greats stories, and achievements, what they do is tell us about that and we get motivated, inspired, aware and encourage us in a way that matters. They are real people just like us, is just that they are influential socially. In this world we live in we need people such as that www.causevox.com/social-media-influencers-online-fundraising..... . You want to be my leader? Lead the way with influence and then I will follow...
influencer should be someone who are
  • Credible- Be able to believe and who is trustworthy by being transparent
  • Reach- being able to reach numbers of people, fans and audiences
  • Relevant-who is discussing what is relevant to us, what they post and discuss. in that way they became THE TRENDSETTERS, THE REPOTERS and  THE THOUGHT LEADERS

This brand advocates I have chosen are determined by numbers of followers they have!

And some of them are even listed as top South African twitter handlers to follow!

  4. I think there are people who dominate in social media and are worth following because they inspire us through their success and achievements. Its so motivating seeing a young hard working person make it in life and that keeps me going and working even harder to achieve my goals......

  5. One always picks up something new or something you didn't know about a brand or product. So yes they are worth it.

  6. Well i personally think that it depends who the influencer or brand advocate is. It will be worth following them provided that their focus is more relevant to you and what you do as an individual. for example, if you are looking onto stepping on their footsteps or rather taking the same career path as them then it is worth following them, they will definitely keep you on the current.

I follow only those that are beneficial to me *hides* because the main issue with social networks is that, we tend to confuse audience with influence. you keep follwoing people just so you have too many followers and people that you follow, which i mean is really not good enough reason.
